    Route 44 Bulkhead Rehabilitation – Commercial Dive Services

    Scofield Marine’s dive team performed 15 pile jacket repairs to stabilize a failing bulkhead system. These repairs were essential to restoring the structural integrity of the existing wall, which will now serve as the deadman anchoring system for the newly constructed bulkhead. In addition to the rehabilitation work, Scofield assisted the General Contractor, Agate Construction, with the underwater installation of low walers for the new bulkhead being built in front of the existing wall. Precision placement and secure installation were vital to ensure proper alignment and long-term structural performance. This project highlights Scofield’s expertise in underwater structural repair, marine construction support, and coordination with general contractors to deliver safe, efficient, and technically sound solutions in challenging environments.

    Performed repair and support work for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, including installation and removal of concrete formwork, concrete placement, removal and reapplication of protective coatings, installation and removal of temporary support platforms, and penetration diving to facilitate a critical wastewater line bypass at facility outfalls.

    Payroll Specialist

    Payroll Specialist

    Pay: $22-$26 Per Hour

    The accounting department is seeking a full-time, experienced Payroll Specialist. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is 100% onsite in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

    This Position Offers:

    • Monday through Friday daytime hours. No overnights or weekends.
    • Weekly paychecks
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
    • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
    • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match up to 5%
    • Company-paid life insurance

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all payroll, delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Process payroll, including entering timesheets daily in the payroll system via direct entry or designated spreadsheet, printing checks, direct deposit stubs, and generating auto deposit files, emailing auto deposit files to appropriate accountants, paying and recording weekly taxes online and in the AP module.
    • Update union wage and benefit information as required by the union contract.
    • Maintain all payroll files: sick, personal, and vacation time for all personnel according to the Union contracts and non-union handbook.
    • Complete and distribute weekly/monthly union, CPR, supervisor, and AA/EEO reports
    • Additional duties as directed.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of Payroll experience
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
    • Experience with billing and accounting software
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and maintain confidentiality

    Conditions of Employment:

    • Successful candidates must submit to a post-offer pre-employment drug screen
    • Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

    Accounts Receivable Specialist

    Accounts Receivable Specialist

    Pay: $22-$26 Per Hour

    The accounting department is seeking a full-time, experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is 100% onsite in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all accounts receivable, delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Print weekly edit lists and make sure prices are correct on concrete and block tickets.
    • Run invoices weekly, making sure all delivery tickets are billed properly (including sales tax) and applied to appropriate accounts.
    • Post receivable checks and electronic payments to customer accounts daily
    • Make necessary adjustments to customer accounts.
    • Provide delivery tickets or invoice copies upon request of the customer via email or mail
    • Research customer accounts as needed and send correct information to the customer.
    • Run customer statements
    • Follow up routinely on past due customer accounts.
    • Process and maintain credit applications for new customers and set up new accounts upon credit approval.
    • Fill out credit references for customers applying for credit with other businesses.
    • Generate monthly recurring invoices.
    • Attach all delivery tickets and invoices to the accounting software
    • Maintain/Manage Accounts Receivable email box and ensure it is current, clean, and organized daily.
    • Additional duties as directed.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
    • Experience with billing and accounting software
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and maintain confidentiality

    Accounts Payable Specialist

    Accounts Payable Specialist

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all accounts payable, delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Enter invoices for payment and route unapproved invoices to proper personnel for approval.
    • Prepare weekly payment runs.
    • Record company credit card transactions.
    • Maintain accurate records of vendor payments for 1099 processing.
    • Follow up with vendors/subs calling for payment and maintain vendor inquiry log.
    • Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and purchase order change orders as requested by Engineering Staff and Superintendents and input the same into the Accounting System. Secure signatures and track progress through to fully executed purchase orders
    • Additional duties as directed.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
    • Experience with billing and accounting software
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
